Scope:
This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, mentors, members, and partners of TBFC. It covers all activities and interactions, both online and in person, within TBFC programs and events.

Responsibilities
– Staff and Volunteers: All team members are trained

– Safeguarding Lead: A designated safeguarding officer is available to handle concerns and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.

– Participants and Partners: Everyone involved with TBFC is encouraged to report concerns or issues without fear of reprisal.

Safeguarding Measures
1. Training: Regular safeguarding training is provided to staff, volunteers, and mentors, ensuring they are equipped to identify risks and respond appropriately.
2. Recruitment: All staff and volunteers undergo thorough background checks, including enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks for roles involving vulnerable individuals.
3. Code of Conduct: Clear behavioural guidelines are established to maintain professional and respectful interactions.

Reporting Concerns
– Concerns about abuse or neglect should be reported immediately to the Safeguarding Lead.
– For emergencies or when an individual is at immediate risk, the police or local safeguarding authorities should be contacted directly.

Working with Vulnerable Individuals

Use of Digital Platforms
